PGI Chandigarh send Doctors-nursing staff team for Jammu and Kashmir, to provide medical services

Amid the emergency situation in the country after the India-Pakistan tension, PGI Chandigarh has taken a big step and sent its medical team to Jammu and Kashmir. The team includes doctors, nursing officers and transport support staff. This team has been sent to help the injured and provide medical services in an emergency. The team will be led by Principal-cum-Dean of GMC Jammu, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta.

PGI Director Vivek Lal said that the team sent is ready to deal with every challenge. The priority is to save the lives of patients and handle the emergency effectively. He said that all emergency facilities within the hospital have also been kept on high alert. Special preparations have been made in the Advanced Trauma Center.

Dr. Amit Sharma and Dr. Sachin from the Department of Anesthesia, Dr. Swapnesh Sahu and Dr. Gokul Krishnan from General, Vascular Surgery, Dr. Himanshu Kanwar and Dr. Udit K. Jayant from Orthopedics, Dr. Mahesh and Dr. Sachin C. Nair from Plastic Surgery have been sent. Narinder Tyagi and Ramesh Kumar are included in the nursing staff, while Shivnath, Pradeep Kumar and Lakhveer Singh have been included in the team for transport support.

11th convocation postponed

Government Medical College and Hospital Sector-32 (GMCH) has postponed the 11th convocation to be held today. Earlier Union Health Minister JP Nadda was expected to attend it, later Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel was made the chief guest. But in view of the current situation, the program has been postponed. The new date will be announced after the situation becomes normal.
