In a murder case that took place on May 10 in Jalandhar, the police have succeeded in arresting two wanted gangsters. According to the information received, both these gangsters were hiding in a flat of Metro Town Society located in Zirakpur Pir Muchhla area. Seeing the arrival of the police, both the gangsters started firing. Both gangsters were injured in the retaliatory action.

The Jalandhar police had received information that the two wanted accused of the murder were living in a flat of Metro Town Society located in Pir Muchhla area. Based on the information, the police had just surrounded the society but the accused came to know about it. Meanwhile, the gangsters climbed the roof and started firing on the team as soon as they saw the police. Both gangsters were injured in the retaliatory action by the police.
The accused have been identified as Akashdeep and Gaurav Kapila. The investigating officer said that during the police firing, Akashdeep was hit in the leg while Gaurav Kapila was hit in the arm. The police have recovered two .32 bore pistols from both of them.
The police recovered six or seven spent cartridges at the spot. The police are investigating the case to find out how the accused got the flat here and for how long they were hiding here. The police have admitted both the gangsters to the hospital. The police said that 10 criminal cases each have been registered against both the gangsters earlier.
