Body founds at crematorium in Jalandhar

Punjab: Police have registered a murder case in the case of the body of 21-year-old Karan Bhatti found near the crematorium near Pathankot Chowk in Jalandhar, Punjab. Police have arrested a youth named Raja, against whom a case of snatching is already registered.

Initial investigation has revealed that the said accused had consumed drugs along with Karan. Police have registered a murder case on the statements of deceased Karan’s mother Neha who returned from Canada and started investigation. However, in the preliminary interrogation, the accused has admitted that Karan had consumed too much drugs.

After which he took him to the doctor, but the doctors refused to take him. Therefore, the accused Raja left him in a room near the said crematorium and absconded. Police will produce the arrested accused Mohit Kumar in the court today and take him on remand.

The family had told the police that their son had left the house with his friends. After which there was no trace of him. But then his body was found near the crematorium. The police had started the primary investigation on the angle of murder and overdose.

The police got the postmortem of the body of Karan Bhatti alias Nannu, resident of Santokhpura number one lane, done with great difficulty.

According to the information received, the family was angry with the accused not being arrested. Due to which there was a problem in getting the postmortem of the deceased done.

The police arrested the accused and registered a murder case by recording the statement of Karan’s mother. Karan was the only brother of three sisters. Karan had done IELTS, he had to go to his sister living abroad in Canada.
