PSPCL employees stage protest seeking FIR against AAP workers

Ludhiana: In Ludhiana, the employees of the electricity department have opened a front against East Constituency MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal. Employees in order to protest have stopped working in the city.

Workers of the Powercom department have leveled serious allegations against the MLA Diljit Singh Bhola Grewal. Giving information, JE Rajeev Sharma said that there was some problem with the electricity supply on midnight of 30-31 May.

The SDO called him to the office at around 12 in the night. When he reached the office, he was told that MLA Daljit Singh Grewal was sitting in lane number 7 of Bhola Gagandeep Colony. There he had a meeting with the MLA and other senior officials for 2 hours.

While returning, three-four leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, in drunken state, surrounded the Powercom employees and abused them. Rajeev told that among those who abused, Jaswinder Sandhu, Deepak Sharma, Sumit Sharma and Lakhwinder Chaudhary also tried to beat him up.

JE Rajeev Sharma said that the accused also tried to pull him off the bike. He will complain about this matter to the police so that an FIR can be registered against the accused.

Today during the protest o PSPCL workers, they said that they have been threatened and abused and will not go back to work until they get justice. If there is no hearing, the struggle will be intensified.

He also said that they neither have full employees nor complete equipments but still they are work 24-24 hours instead of eight hours and provide services to the people.

But on the contrary, when the AAP MLA was asked to react, he denied all the allegations and said that the electricity workers are deliberately turning off the electricity and asking for money from the people and the dharna is being staged to hide their mistakes. He said that strict action should be taken against the one who committed the mistake
