Punjab: AGTF arrests gangster

Mohali: The Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has arrested a gangster named Vijay, a resident of Mohali. Gangsters used to work at the behest of Deepak Tinu, who is in jail. He is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs and was given the responsibility of killing the members of the Bambiha gang. He is a resident of Memandpur village in Mohali. The police have recovered a pistol and five live cartridges from his possession.

Deepak Tinu is currently lodged in Bathinda jail in Punjab. On February 12, this year, he threatened to kill the Assistant Superintendent of Jail. 

Bathinda police had registered a case against him in this matter. 

In the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Deepak Tinu has also been involved. He committed this crime inside the jail along with his three other accomplices.

Deepak Tinu had escaped from police custody after the singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He fled from Punjab and reached Mauritius via Rajasthan and Mumbai. He had reached South Africa through a fake passport. Tinu has a big network in Ludhiana. He used to do extortion and drug business in Ludhiana. The accused who helped Tinu escape were three people from Ludhiana itself. The police had arrested them.

Tinu had fled without meeting his girlfriend, Jatinder Kaur. It was being told that both of them were together until Rajasthan. While separating from there, Tinu had told his girlfriend that he would meet her in Mumbai, but he cheated on Jatinder Kaur.

Instead of meeting her, Tinu fled directly to South Africa via Mauritius. 

After this, Jatinder Kaur was caught by the police. According to sources, Goldy Brar had also cheated his sharpshooters in the same way. Goldy Brar had not given money to the sharpshooters after the Moosewala murder.
