The budget session of Punjab government has started from today. As soon as the Governor’s address started on the first day of the assembly proceedings, there was a huge uproar over the farmers’ movement. Congress MLAs interrupted the Governor’s speech. He raised the issue of farmers’ movement and Shubhakaran’s death in it.
The Governor tried to convince him but he did not agree. After which the Governor read the first and last lines of his speech and left the Assembly. Congress MLAs said that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann could not protect the farmers even within the state borders.
Congress MLAs told an FIR was registered on the death of farmer Shubhakaran by keeping the police anonymous. Why was a case not registered against Haryana Home Minister? They said that the post-mortem of farmer Shubhakaran Singh was done in the dark of night. This is a violation of the law.
Opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa has started raising the issue of farmers in the House. Following him, other Congress leaders also started protesting in the House. He has raised the issue of farmers’ movement, their demands, farmers undergoing treatment in the hospital.
At the same time, questions have been raised on the zero FIR filed by the Punjab government on the death of Shubhakaran. Congress says that this FIR should have been against the Home Minister of Haryana.

Regarding the uproar in the House, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwa said that he cannot make any comment. Because he is a member of both the ruling party and the opposition. He said that he understands the dignity of this post. On the comments made by Congress leaders on him, he said that it should not have happened like this.
However, when there was uproar in the House, the Speaker got up twice and went to the Governor. He also declined to speak about what he had told the Governor.
Congress insulted House by blocking Governor’s speech
Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that Congress has insulted the House by blocking the Governor’s speech. He told That, Congress has done all this to gain fame. Congress leaders should have heard the Governor’s speech, Congress has insulted democracy.
The Finance Minister said that I want to tell those who are questioning the filing of zero FIR in the case of Shubhakaran’s death that this matter will be investigated now. Police will investigate all the facts. Everything will become clear when the challan is presented in the court. When the tribute ceremony will take place at 2 o’clock. It was also decided to pay tribute to Shubhakaran.
SAD MLA Shukhi told-guarantees not done yet
Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Sukhwinder Sukhi said that the government has not done anything in 2 years. There are many issues on which he had given guarantees. He is not done yet. Women are waiting for one thousand rupees.
He told that, Students of Dalit community are waiting for scholarship. He told that they talk about providing 40 thousand jobs. But it does not tell how many people have retired. Jobs were not given as per the number of employees who retired. At the same time, he said that he will raise the issue of farmers and farm laborers prominently in the Assembly.
The budget session of Punjab Assembly is starting from Friday. Before the commencement of the session, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has shown his aggressive attitude by directly attacking the Badal family. Even after AAP joined the India Bloc, Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, while mentioning about raising many issues including farmers’ movement in the House, said that the government should come fully prepared on these issues.
The budget session of the Punjab Assembly will begin with the Governor’s address on Friday at 11 am and will be followed by a tribute at 2 pm. After this, there will be a debate on the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address on March 4. The budget will be presented on March 5 while on March 6, there will be debate on the budget and other legislative business.
Opposition’s political strategy ready
Aam Aadmi Party has joined the India Bloc, but the main opposition party in Punjab, Congress, has made a strategy of political attack on the important issues of power in the House. Bajwa today held a meeting with party leaders and MLAs in the presence of state in-charge Devendra Yadav and discussed at length the strategy of Congress in the House.
Later, Bajwa said that in the Congress House, apart from the poor strategy of the government regarding the farmers’ movement, the promises made to women, the promises made by Bhagwant Mann and Anmol Gagan Mann regarding MSP before the elections, Rs 34 thousand crore more were made through bribery.
The opposition will attack the government on its claim of saving Rs 20 thousand crore from sand and gravel. He clearly said that the government should come fully prepared on these issues.
It is known that there has been no alliance between AAP and Congress in the Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, hence Bajwa is fully prepared. He said that Congress will fulfill its duty in the House and will ask questions to the government.
On the other hand, before the start of the budget session, Chief Minister Mann has made a big political attack on SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal before leaving Congress. SAD has three MLAs in the House but the Chief Minister has made his objective clear.
