In this connection, CM Bhagwant Mann reached Hoshiarpur on Sunday. He participated in the passing out parade of 2493 police personnel at Jahan Khela. On this occasion, he said that ten thousand new posts will be created in the Punjab Police.
CM Mann said that this recruitment will be done on various posts. A proposal for this will be brought in the cabinet meeting soon. At the same time, the CM said that atrict action will be taken against gangsters, criminals, chain snatchers, looters.
He said Punjab belongs to sportsmen and army generals. Sow any seed here and it grows. But there is a strict warning for those who grow it amidst hatred, we will not let hatred grow in Punjab. Our Guru Parv, Eid and Ram Navami are shared. We celebrate all festivals together. We are that community which has been protecting other communities. He has appealed to the soldiers for cooperation in de-addiction.
SSF reduced road accidents by 48 percent
The CM said that among the soldiers involved in the passing out parade, there are 1992 male and 498 female soldiers. More than 10,000 appointment letters have been issued since 2022. Punjab Police is included in the top police forces of the country, so it is being constantly upgraded. Road Safety Force was formed a year ago, which has been equipped with modern vehicles and all necessary equipment. As a result, road accidents have reduced by 48.10%. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has also praised these efforts of Punjab Police.
Police is capable of solving any crime
The CM said that recently a war has been launched on a large scale against drugs in Punjab. The strategy for this campaign was being prepared for a long time, in which it was also considered what its negative effects could be. When those who give up drugs will be in agony, how will they be handled – the entire infrastructure has been prepared for this. Now a campaign has been started for this.
Just yesterday, Punjab Police raided 10,000 houses. If Punjab Police becomes fully active, there is no crime that cannot be eradicated. He said that when recruitment will be based on merit, policemen are also expected to perform their duties with full honesty and hard work. I am confident that wherever you will be on duty, you will do your best.
The soldiers are experts in dealing with cyber fraud.
On this occasion, senior police officer Ishwar Singh said that this training centre is very important. Not only Punjab but police from other states are also trained here. The centre was established in 1947. Employees from Jharkhand and Uttarakhand have also been trained here.
The capacity here is more than 2 thousand. Soldiers are given computer training. Mainly 1190 technical wing, law officers and computer engineers have been given technical training. Now all the employees will work in the districts. 656 in the Armed Forces and 631 in the District Force from where training was given.
