Dhuri, June 29: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann gave good news to the people of his own constituency this morning. People had been demanding a railway overbridge in Dhuri for a long time, which is now being fulfilled soon. With the construction of this bridge, a population of more than 1 lakh will benefit.
Giving information on the X header, CM Bhagwant Mann wrote- A gift for the people of Dhuri, the railway overbridge in Dhuri has been approved. This bridge, which will be built at a cost of Rs 54.76 crore, will be completed in the stipulated time and dedicated to the people.

CM Mann’s relation with Dhuri-Sangrur constituency
CM Bhagwant Mann contested the election for the first time from Lehra assembly constituency in 2012. He started his political journey with Manpreet Singh Badal, who left Shiromani Akali Dal Badal. Manpreet Badal had formed the People’s Party of Punjab, which later merged with the Congress.
After this, Bhagwant Mann joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2014 and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Sangrur. Not only this, he also contested the 2017 elections from Jalalabad against SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

He joined Aam Aadmi Party in 2014. He contested his first Lok Sabha election from Sangrur in 2014, and came first with 5 lakh 33 thousand 237 votes. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa managed to secure 3 lakh 21 thousand 516 votes from there. Mann won with 2 lakh 11 thousand 516 votes.
After this, in 2019, he again contested from Sangrur and his vote share was 4 lakh 13 thousand 561 and he was defeated by Congress’s Kewal Singh Dhillon who got 3 lakh 3 thousand 350 votes and Mann won for the second time by 1 lakh 10 thousand 211 votes. In 2022, Bhagwant Mann contested by filing nomination papers from Dhuri and defeated Congress candidate Dalbir Goldie.
