The PCA has appointed former State Election Commissioner of Punjab Rajeev Sharma as the Election Officer for this time’s elections. The elections will be held as per the constitution of the PCA and the rules amended on 20 November 2022.

According to the records of the PCA, this time the number of ‘Category-A’ members has increased significantly. While this number was 249 in the election notification of 2022 and 2023, this number has increased to 402 in the 2025 list. These include many well-known and influential people.
