New Delhi: Today is 17th day of the farmers’ protest and finally the deadlock over the last rites of Shubh Kararn Singh between farmers and administration has ended. The last rites of Shubh Karan will be performed at his native village Ballo near Bathinda.
First the body will be kept here at the Khanauri border and later the mortal remains of Shubh Karan Singh will be taken to his native village where his cremation will be performed at 3 pm.
Yesterday, major demand of farmers’ union that FIR should be registered under sections 302 and 114 of IPC was fulfilled. The standoff between police and farmers came to end after FIR was registered.
In a video, Farmer Leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said today is 17th day of Farmers march led by both forums. He appealed farmers to come in large number and pay homage to deceased Youth farmer Shubhkaran Singh.
Who is ShubhKaran Singh ?
Shubkaran Singh, a 20-year-old farmer of Ballo village in Bathinda, died due to a bullet in the head during the firing on the farmers, who were marching towards Delhi today.
The young farmer Shubh Karan Singh was the owner of only three acres of land and had gone to the Khanuri Punjab Haryana border in the Kisan movement three to four days ago.
Shubh Karan Singh was the only brother of his two sisters. This incident has been confirmed by the Punjab vice president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Malwa, Gurwinder Singh Balo, and the farmers’ leaders have demanded from the Punjab government that the family members of the deceased young farmer should be compensated and his debts should be waived.
