Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh reaches Patiala

Patiala: Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh has expressed grief over the deaths of three devotees of Uddan village near Banur in a road accident two days ago. He reached the Government Rajindra Hospital here today and inquired about the condition of the injured devotees admitted for treatment.

It is worth mentioning that two days ago, devotees of Uddan village near Banur were returning from a religious ceremony at Gurdwara Charan Ganga Sahib Khuralgarh in Hoshiarpur. On the way, their truck met with a road accident, killing three villagers and injuring a large number of devotees.

Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Punjab Government share the grief of these devout villagers. Dr. Balbir Singh issued instructions to the doctors for better treatment of the injured admitted to the Government Rajindra Hospital.

The Health Minister said that under the Farishte Muft Yojana launched by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, free treatment will be provided to road accident victims.

On this occasion, he also talked to the doctors over the phone for better treatment of some injured people from Uddan village admitted to PGI Chandigarh and Neelam Hospital Rajpura and asked them to provide better treatment to the patients. Colonel JV Singh, Dr. Girish Sahni, and others were also present on this occasion.
