Jalandhar MC employee hacked to death with sharp weapon over money transaction

Jalandhar: Deepak (32), a municipal corporation sanitation worker resident of Ghazi Gulla Colony, was murdered late at night in Jallowal near Boota Pind in Jalandhar by pelting stones and bricks over money transactions. Deepak’s friend Gaggu was seriously injured in this attack and has been admitted to Civil Hospital Jalandhar.

The family members of the deceased and the injured youth created a ruckus late at night in the Civil Hospital and demanded from the police administration that the accused be arrested soon. The family members alleged that Deepak had to collect money from some youths living in Jallowal colony.

They called Deepak on their own and asked him to take the money. But fifteen to twenty youths were already sitting at the spot, ready to attack. As soon as Deepak reached the spot with his brother Ajay and a friend Gaggu, they attacked him with sharp weapons. Deepak’s brother Ajay said that he saved his life by running away from the spot.

Ajay said that the attackers ran after him but he hid near the warehouse of a gas agency there. When the attackers went back, he reached the spot and saw that his brother had died on the spot. While Gaggu was seriously injured. He took both of them to the civil hospital.

Bhargava Camp police station reached the spot. The police has registered a case of murder and attempt to murder against the accused after taking statements from the family members.
