Punjab Lok Sabha Election: Congress Candidates to file nomination on these dates

Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira contesting the election from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat and Dharamvir Gandhi from Patiala will file nomination on May 8, i.e. today

Chandigarh: Today is the second day to file nominations for the seventh phase of  Lok Sabha polls. All 13 seats of Punjab will undergo polling in the Seventh phase on June 1. After the issuance of notification for seventh phase, the process of filing nomination has begun.

Political leaders contesting will be filing nomination from their respective seat. The last date of filing nomination is May 14. Meanwhile dates on which prominent contenders from hot seats will file their nominations have come forward.

Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira contesting the election from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat and Dharamvir Gandhi from Patiala will file nomination on May 8, i.e. today. On May 9, i.e. tomorrow, Kubir Zira will file his nomination papers. He is contesting from the Khadur Sahib seat.

The deadline for filing nominations is May 14, the deadline for scrutiny of nominations is May 15, and the deadline for withdrawal of candidature is May 17, before 3 p.m.

Day after tomorrow, On the 10th May, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Charanjit Channi, Yamini Gomar, Dr. Amar Singh, Amarjit Kaur Sahoke and Jeet Mahender Sidhu will file their nomination papers. Gurjit Aujla, the candidate from Amritsar, will file his nomination papers on May 11. Vijay Inder Singla will file his nomination papers from Anandpur Sahib on May 13.
