Punjab Police bust cross border drug racket: 4.5 kg of heroin seized, Two smugglers arrested

Amritsar, June 13: Punjab Police has taken action against a drug-smuggling gang operating from across the border in Pakistan. Police arrested two drug smugglers and recovered 4.5 kg heroin and drug money worth Rs 11 lakh from them.

The accused have been identified as Gurbhej Singh alias Bheja and Abhijeet Singh alias Happy. Both of them were in contact with smuggler Rana sitting in Pakistan. This information has been given by Punjab Police.

DGP Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav shared information about this by posting on the social media platform X. He said that the matter is being investigated and other accused will also be arrested soon.

Caught selling drugs

This action has been taken by the Anti Narcotics Force of Mohali Police. A case has been registered against the accused in Mohali. They will be presented in the court today by the police. Meanwhile, the police is busy in investigating their network. The ANTF team is continuously active in Punjab. Earlier, the team has arrested them in Ferozepur.
