Hoshiarpur: As part of state wide Operation CASO, Punjab Police initiated a major serch operation in Hoshiarpur today led by SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik. The operation began in the Ghantaghar area, starting from Police Station City.
SSP Malik stated that Special checks are being conducted at various hotspots across the district, and the operation will continue until all targeted areas are covered. He emphasized that the operations is being carried out under the Supervision of ADGPO (Human Rights) Naresh Arora
Malik issued a stern warning to those involved in the drug trade, reaffirming the Punjab government’s zero tolerance policy towards drug trafficking. He stated that strict action action will ba taken against drug traffickers and illegal properties built by them, in accordance with the law.
In a notable development, properties worth more than Rs 20 crore owned by drug smugglers have already been frozen in the district, and the crackdown will continue in the future.
The ongoing operation is part of broader effort by Punjab Police to dismantle criminal networks and curb illegal activities across the state.
