2 international drug smugglers arrests in Punjab

Amritsar: Punjab Police has succeeded in breaking the international drug smuggling gang. While taking action, the police have also seized drug money worth about Rs 1 crore from the accused. The arrested gang members are said to be close to drug smugglers Gurjant Singh Bholu and Kindarbir Singh, alias Sunny Dial, who used to smuggle drugs on their instructions.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared the information in the post and said that based on intelligence, Punjab Police has busted an international drug network. Drug money worth more than Rs 1 crore has been seized, and two henchmen of top drug smugglers, Bholu and Sunny Dial, who live abroad, have been arrested.

The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar has registered a case against foreign handlers and two henchmen for running an organized crime syndicate. During this time, the police have seized Rs 1.07 crore in drug money, 1 money counting machine, 1 car, and 2 mobile phones from the accused.

The police are currently interrogating both handlers. The police have handed over the phones of both the accused to the cybercrime cell. After extracting the initial data, the phones of the accused will be sent for forensic investigation so that detailed data can be extracted. After which some more arrests are also expected in this case.
