Punjab Police’s Bulldozer action on Jalandhar based Drug Smuggler’s property

Jalandhar: The bulldozer action of the Aam Aadmi Party government against drug smugglers and the property built by selling drugs in Punjab is much talked about. Today on Sunday morning, in Khanpur village, famous for drug trafficking in Phillaur, Jalandhar, the rural police team demolished the house of drug smuggler Jasbir Sheera with a bulldozer.

During this time, a large number of police force was present. In the presence of police, the property built by drug smuggling was demolished. Videos of this action have also surfaced, in which officers arriving with bulldozers are ordering to demolish the house. This action against drug smugglers is being discussed all over Punjab at this time. The action being taken by the government has been challenged in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The hearing in this is to be held on March 4.

SSP said- action will be taken on property made from drug money

Jalandhar Rural Police SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh said- Won on Drugs campaign is being run after the meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Punjab government has a very clear policy against drugs that if any person is involved in drug smuggling, strict action will be taken against him. Also, if any property has been built with the said money, then encroachment action will be taken on it with immediate effect.

SSP said- smuggler Sheera had occupied the panchayat land

SSP Khakh further said- Today this action has been taken against drug smuggler Jasbir Sheera in Khanpur of Phillaur. Many cases of drug smuggling are registered against Sheera and he had built a house here by occupying panchayat land. When our police was contacted by the BDPO in this regard, the police prepared to take action in the case.

SSP Khakh further said- When we reached with BDPO for action, the matter got heated, but police took action in coordination with the officers and bulldozer was used at the said place. SSP Khakh said- Such action against drug smugglers will continue in future.
