Chandigarh: An amount of Rs 55.45 crore has been released by the Punjab government for post-matric scholarship. This amount is for 86583 students. This amount was arranged by the government in the budget for the financial year 2024-25. Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that there will be no shortage of funds for the studies of the students.
The amount is transferred directly to the students account
Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that providing education to the students of Scheduled Castes is the priority of the Punjab Government. She said that the main objective of this scheme is to help the students of extremely poor families to complete their education. Apart from this, the remaining students will also be paid soon.
The release of this amount will improve the living standards of the students of Scheduled Castes. The amount of financial assistance is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
