After the Delhi election results, the Punjab government is in action mode. After removing the Vigilance Chief and suspending Muktsar Sahib DC, now resignations have been sought from the law officers of the state.

Resignations have been sought from about 232 officers. All these law officers have been appointed to represent the state in the High Court, Supreme Court and Tribunal. At the same time, the government has taken five major decisions so far in 7 days.

Officers are appointed for one year

However, in this regard, Punjab Advocate General (AG) Gurminder Singh says that all this is part of a fixed process. Because these officers are appointed for one year. Their appointment is also ending in the month of February. The government aims to organize and strengthen the work of the office.

So that the interests of the citizens of Punjab can be made effective. This procedural step has been taken to facilitate the reappointment of law officers and ensure continuity in legal representation.
