Moga (Punjab): A roadways bus collided with a Tata pickup in Dharmkot, Moga, resulting in several injuries. The Punjab Roadways bus was coming from Jalandhar and lost control near the village of Kamal. It first hit the divider and then collided with the Tata pickup, ultimately falling several feet down the roadside.
After receiving the information, nearby villagers and police arrived at the scene to rescue the passengers from the bus. At the time of the accident, there were about 50 passengers on the bus, with 3-4 sustaining serious injuries. All the injured were transported to a government hospital with the assistance of the Moga Social Services Society. Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver was talking on his phone, despite being warned to stop. However, he did not heed the warnings, and due to the high speed, he lost control, resulting in the collision with the divider and the Tata pickup before the bus fell into a ditch.
