Punjab Weather: Light rain expected in 17 districts, Abohar coldest @ 6.2 degrees

The weather of Punjab will change from today. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, it may rain at some places in the state for two days. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in 17 districts today (Wednesday).

On the other hand, the average maximum temperature of the state has decreased by 1.5 degrees in the last 24 hours. However, it is 2.7 degrees higher than the normal temperature. The highest temperature in the state has been recorded at 23.3 degrees in Pathankot.

However, the Meteorological Department has not issued a fog alert. The districts where rain is expected include Bathinda, Mansa, Barnala, Sangrur, Patiala, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Nayashahar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot.

However, nights are still cold in Punjab. At the same time, the minimum temperature is also falling continuously. Compared to yesterday, the average minimum temperature has dropped by 1.5 degrees. Abohar recorded the lowest temperature of 6.2 degrees.

The night temperature of all the districts was recorded between six degrees and ten degrees. The temperature has dropped at all places. Amritsar recorded a temperature of 8.0 degrees, Ludhiana 10 degrees, Patiala 9.1 degrees, Mohali 10.8 degrees and Bathinda 6.4 degrees.
