There is no possibility of rain in Punjab at present in the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Chandigarh Center, the weather in the state will remain the same today and for the next 48 hours i.e. two days. On Friday also, there was no rain in most of the districts, although the sky remained cloudy.
Due to clouds, the temperature dropped by an average of 0.5 degree Celsius. The average maximum temperature in the entire state was 2.2 degrees below normal. The highest temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bathinda Airport. The temperature in Amritsar was 32.2 degrees, which was 2.5 degrees below normal.
The maximum temperature in Ludhiana was recorded at 30.8 degrees and Patiala at 32.7 degrees. Talking about rain, Amritsar received 13.2 mm and Chandigarh received 1.1 mm of rain, while the rest of the districts received negligible or nominal rain.
Weather will remain normal for the next two days
The Meteorological Department has also issued a forecast for the coming days. The weather is expected to remain normal in all the districts of Punjab till July 20 and no warning has been issued. However, the weather is going to change in many parts of the state from July 21.
Heavy rain is expected in the districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh on July 21. Yellow alert has been issued to these districts. Almost the same situation may persist on July 22 as well.
