Punjab Weather Update: Heat wave alert across state for 3 days from tomorrow

Punjab has been experiencing continuous heat for the last few days. Now the temperature has reached 41.7 degrees. Bathinda was the hottest in Punjab. The temperature has increased by 0.7 degrees in 24 hours, it is 2.1 degrees more than the normal temperature.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heat wave in some places for three days from today i.e. till April 25. The western disturbance formed in the form of an area of ​​​​cyclonic winds in the neighborhood of North Pakistan is now located over Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, a trough (low pressure area) is forming in Punjab. However, the weather will remain dry during this time.

Temperature of all districts is more than 35 degrees

The maximum temperature of all the districts of Punjab is now between 35 degrees and 40 degrees. It has become difficult to leave the house during the afternoon. The Health Department has also warned people not to leave the house during the afternoon.

At the same time, beds have been reserved in all government hospitals for the patients coming due to heat. The state has received 48 per cent less rainfall. Only 0.1 mm of rain has been recorded. Chandigarh recorded a temperature of 38.7 degrees. It has increased by 2.1 degrees.
