Punjab Weather update: Rain alert in 11 districts of Punjab today, Strong winds will blow

Punjab is getting relief from the heat today. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of 9 districts of the state was recorded above 40 degrees yesterday evening. However, there has been a drop of 1 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours, but the temperature is still 1.8 degrees Celsius above normal.

The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 45.3 degrees Celsius in Bathinda, which is the highest temperature so far this season. According to the Meteorological Department, relief from the heat is seen in the state from today.

A yellow alert has been issued in Pathankot, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Nawanshahr and Patiala today. Strong winds may blow here. There is also a warning of rain.

A yellow alert has been issued in Punjab from today till May 24. Apart from today, an alert has been issued for dust storm, strong winds and thunderstorms in various districts till May 24. Especially districts like Bathinda, Faridkot, Fazilka and Mansa have been kept in the alert category on May 22.
