Punjab Weather Update: Strong winds to blow, Ludhiana hottest @ 35 degrees

Heat has started showing its effect in Punjab. Today, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 35 km in the state. Neither rain nor any western disturbance is expected to be active in the coming days, due to which the increase in temperature may continue. Heat is going to bother more in the coming days.

On the last day, the maximum temperature in the state increased by 0.2 ° C. The average temperature of the state was 3.4 ° C higher than normal.

On Thursday, the highest temperature of the state was recorded in Ludhiana at 35 °C. Which made it the hottest city in Punjab. Apart from this, an increase in temperature was also recorded in Chandigarh (35.1 ° C), Patiala (34.7 ° C), and Bathinda (34.6 ° C).

Due to the continuous increase in temperature, people are facing scorching sun during the day. Hot winds are blowing especially during the afternoon, making it difficult to go out. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may increase further in the next few days. The effect of heat will be more especially in the plains.
