A cold wave alert has been issued once again in Punjab today. It is estimated that the minimum temperature of Punjab will fall slightly for the next 72 hours. But after that, there will not be much change in the weather. At the same time, no western disturbance is active in Punjab as of now.

Faridkot was the coldest city in Punjab yesterday, where the temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees. According to the Indian Meteorological Center, a cold wave alert has been issued in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Muktsar and Fazilka in Punjab. This alert will continue on Sunday as well. But after that there will not be much change in temperature.

A new western disturbance will become active in Punjab on January 29. The effect of this western disturbance will be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand. There may be light rain in the hilly areas, while there are also chances of snowfall.

If the cold increases in the mountains, then its effect will be seen in Punjab also due to the winds coming from there towards the plains.
