Punjab Weather Update: Temperature to rise for next three day as heat wave alert issued

The mood of the weather in Punjab is constantly changing. According to the Meteorological Department report, the maximum temperature in the state has increased by an average of 1.6 degrees Celsius. Although it is close to normal, the effect of heat is increasing. The temperature in Punjab will continue to rise for the next three days. But, there is a possibility of getting relief again from May 17.

According to the Meteorological Center, on Wednesday, the highest temperature of the state was recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius at the Air Force Station in Bathinda, which was 2.4 degrees above normal. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Chandigarh city was 39.9 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana recorded 40.6 degrees Celsius and Patiala recorded 40.4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the temperature in districts like Amritsar and Gurdaspur also remained above 38 degrees Celsius, due to which heat wave-like conditions are being created.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in some parts of the state on May 17. There are 11 districts where it may rain. Scattered rains (in less than 25% areas) may occur over the districts of Nawanshahr, Mohali, Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa, Bathinda, Fazilka and Muktsar on this day.
