Punjab Weather Updates: Amidst Heatwave in Punjab, IMD issues prediction for rain in these districts

Chandigarh: The temperature in Punjab is increasing day by day. At present, the scorching heat has made it difficult for people to leave their homes. As per the IMD, due to Western Disturbance, the heat wave is at its peak in Punjab and it is troubling the people.

Amid the intense heat, it is a matter of relief that people will get respite from this heat in Punjab in coming days. In the past, people have been seen leaving the house in the evening. The Meteorological Department has now issued an alert regarding the heatwave in Punjab till June 4, but relief is visible from June 5. There are chances of rain due to Western Disturbance.

Orange alert for heat wave



Orange alert of heat wave has been given in 3 districts of Punjab such as Mansa, Barnala and Ludhiana by the Meteorological Department (Punjab Weather Update). While 6 other districts of Bathinda, Moga, Muktsar, Faridkot, Fazilka and Ferozepur are likely to experience heat waves along with rain and strong winds. Yellow alert has been issued in all other districts.



In 10 districts of Malwa, the situation is likely to return to normal on June 3, the same situation will continue till June 4. While yellow alert has been issued in 13 other districts of Doaba and Majhe due to rain and strong winds on June 3-4. No alert has been issued across Punjab till June 5. On the other hand, after the rains in Punjab on 5-6 June, people are going to get a big relief from the heat.
