Today Punjab MP Raghav Chadha raises the issue of tax in the house

Chandigarh: Punjab’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha raised the issue of high taxes in the House today. He said that the situation is such that we get services like Somalia by paying taxes like England. However, during this time the leaders of the ruling party also created a ruckus, while Raghav questioned the central government about what facilities were being given to the people by taking so much tax should be told about this.

Raghav Chadha said that in the last ten years, the government has sucked the blood of the common man of the country by imposing taxes. Suppose you earn 10 rupees, then out of that you give three and a half rupees to the government through income tax. Two and a half rupees are paid as GST. One and a half rupees are capital gains tax; one and a half rupees are other taxes.

Only seven to eight rupees from ten go to the government. What does the government give us in return for taking so much tax from us? What services are they providing? He said that 60 per cent of the people live in villages. Finally, he said that I have no problem in saying that we are getting services like Somalia by paying taxes like England.

Raghav Chadha had raised the issue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s golden throne kept in a museum in England. He had demanded that the Indian government should make efforts to bring it to the country. At the same time, he had said that Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s life should be taught in schools.
