Regarding digital service, DRM Sanjay Sahu of Firozpur Railway Division said that it is necessary to have digital service in the modern era. Therefore, Railways is implementing the digital process in a strong manner so that passengers can get convenience.

In this sequence, from April 1, the facility of online payment is being started everywhere in the Railways, from food to ticket booking and parking. Railways will now collect fine from the passengers traveling without ticket in the train by scanning the QR code so that there is no further inconvenience to the passengers and there is transparency.

The department has also supplied handheld terminal machines to the checking staff at many stations. Steps are being taken towards starting it soon at those stations where this facility is not available. With the digital facility of Railways, all TTEs running in trains will be able to collect fine online from any passenger. For this, the passenger will have to scan the QR code installed in the machine with his mobile and will be able to pay the railway fine.

Digital service is being started at stations like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Bathinda, Moga, Vyas etc. Digital payments can also be made in book stalls, parking, toilets etc. in Ludhiana. For this, arrangements have been made at all the stations.
