There is a possibility of rain in Punjab even today. Along with rain, winds can also blow at a speed of 40 km in the districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh. After the conditions created in the last two days, people in Punjab have got relief from the heat. The maximum temperature has dropped by an average of 3.9 degrees Celsius, which is 6 degrees Celsius below normal.
The highest temperature in Punjab was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius in Faridkot. Light to moderate rain was also recorded in many districts. In which 4.4 mm rain fell in Ludhiana, 3.0 mm in Patiala, 0.5 mm in Mohali.
According to the Meteorological Department, even today the sky will remain cloudy in most of the districts of Punjab and people will get relief from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Center, strong winds (30-40 km / h), thunderstorms and heavy rains have been warned in many districts of Punjab from June 17 to 22. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘yellow alert’ in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala today.
The temperature is expected to increase by 3-4 degrees in the next two days, but after that it may again fall by 2-3 degrees.
