People in Punjab are expected to get some relief from the heat today. Yellow and orange alerts have been issued for strong winds and rain across Punjab today. According to data released yesterday by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the average maximum temperature in Punjab has dropped by 0.5 degrees Celsius.
However, the temperature remains around normal. According to this report, Bathinda recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 41.2 degrees Celsius.
