Amritsar: A case of rape with minor girl has come to light in Amritsar, Punjab. The victim had come to her uncle’s house on vacation. Where a young man lured her with his words and after that took her to a hotel on the pretext of getting her shoes and raped her. As soon as the victim reached home, the bleeding increased. After which the girl told the whole story to her family members.
The 16-year-old victim told the police that she had come to spend holidays at her uncle’s house. The accused youth Jatinder Singh resident Mehta used to come to her uncle’s house.
It was here that the conversation took place between the two. The accused lured the victim with his words and gave her a mobile phone. After which both of them started talking on the phone.
The accused took her on a motorcycle to get her new shoes
The victim said that the accused came on a Pulsar motorcycle at 11 am yesterday and took her with him from Mehta Chowk on the pretext of buying shoes. But the accused turned the motorcycle from Mehta Chowk towards Jalandhar Road Baba Bakala Sahib. Where the accused took her to a hotel and raped her.
When her health deteriorated, she informed her family
After the rape, the accused left the victim at her maternal uncle’s house and went away. During this time, the victim started bleeding. When the bleeding did not stop, she was brought to Civil Hospital Baba Bakala Sahib for treatment. But seeing the serious condition, the victim has been referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH), where she is undergoing treatment.
Case registered against the accused
After receiving the complaint, the police of Mehta got the victim medically examined. After which a case has been registered against the accused Jatinder Singh under the POCSO Act and action has been started. According to Inspector Pushpa Devi, raids are being conducted to catch the absconded accused.
