Breaking: Former SAD leader Ravikaran Singh joins BJP

New Delhi : Ravikaran Singh, who was expelled from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) a day ago due to anti-party activities, has joined BJP. Ravikaran Singh Kahlon is son of former Minister and Assembly Speaker late Nirmal Singh Kahlon, who held many high positions in the Akali government.

He joined the party under the leadership of BJP chief Sunil Jakhar and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. On this occasion many people joined BJP along with him. He said that he was telling the truth. Because of this he has been expelled from the party.

A post was posted on social media late on Wednesday night by Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Gurdaspur and party spokesperson Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema regarding his expulsion from the party. He had written that SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has expelled Dera Baba Nanak assembly incharge Ravikaran Singh Kahlon from the primary membership of the party on charges of anti-party activities and backstabbing. Indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost.

While talking about Shiromani Akali Dal, Ravikaran said that this party was made by our elders with great sacrifices, But now this party has become a limited company, which is run by solely 2 people. Anyone who give their opinions in party, party shows them the path of exit. He said that, “I only bow before Guru Maharaj. I did not bend my neck so much that my turban fell off.”

It may be mentioned that Ravikaran has contested from Dera Baba Nanak constituency in 2022 against former Chief Minister and Congress candidate Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa from Dera Baba Nanak.
