Ludhiana: Late night in Ludhiana, Punjab, 4 to 5 miscreants attacked a couple with sharp weapons and injured them at Dehlon Road B-Max near Doraha. The couple was returning home after dinner. The robbers surrounded their car and pulled the woman and her husband out of the car.
The wife was murdered after rendering the husband unconscious
The miscreants beat up the man mercilessly. When the woman went to save her husband, the attackers beat her too. After making the man unconscious, the attackers looted his wife’s jewellery and cash. When the woman resisted the robbers, the miscreants attacked her with sharp weapons. The robbers fled from the spot with a car, jewellery, cash and mobile.
The woman, soaked in blood, kept writhing in pain for about an hour but no one helped her. A dhaba owner at a distance of about 300 meters from the incident spot heard the woman’s screams and informed the police. The police reached the spot after about one and a half hours.
The woman was taken to DMC hospital but she died. The name of the deceased woman is Lipsi. Lipsi has two children. According to information, Lipsi had gone to dinner with her husband Anok Mittal. Anok Mittal is a battery businessman.
