Robbery at gunpoint: Miscreants loot Bullet bike, cash and mobile from youth in Amritsar

Amritsar: In Amritsar district, robbers who came in a Verna car snatched a young man’s Bullet Bike, money and mobile at gunpoint. Later when the victim reached the police station to complain, the PCR people started calling him a drug addict. However, the Civil Lines police station has registered a complaint and started investigating the case.

Victim Atul Kumar, resident of Sandhu Colony, Batala Road, said that he worked at the reception in a private hospital. Last night at around 11:30 pm, he left hospital to get food for himself.  While going towards the railway station to get food, a Verna car coming from behind hit him after which he fell on the footpath. As soon as he got up after falling, four people came out of the Verna. All of them were gagged.

The robbers took away Bullet, 54 thousand and mobile

One of the youths asked him for the keys, but he refused to give them. After that, a youth pointed a gun at his forehead and asked him for the keys of the Bullet bike. Feared Victim gave the keys following which the miscreants snatched 53 thousand rupees from his pocket and his mobile and fled from the spot.

Victim Atul Sharma said that he then took an auto to Novelty Chowk where he informed the PCR employees about the incident. In the police station, instead of listening to him, the police said that he was intoxicated. At present, Civil Line Police Station has registered a case in this matter and an investigation is going on. Police is also looking for CCTV of the area.
