SAD chief Sukhbir Badal targets Congress, asks to make public names of leaders who protected culprits of sacrilege

A fair investigation into these cases can reveal the role of AAP leaders in these incidents and bring the truth to light, which could help put an end to such heinous crimes of sacrilege.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal has targeted the Congress party.

In a post on X, Badal wrote that the Congress party should immediately disclose the names of its leaders who shielded those responsible for sacrilege incidents, as acknowledged by senior Congress leader Pargat Singh in the Assembly and senior leader Sukhjinder Randhawa in a recent interview.

These leaders have exposed the truth before Punjabis about how their party, Congress, played politics on a sensitive issue like sacrilege and formed an SIT to blackmail Punjabis.

You and Congress are equally guilty – Sukhbir

It is also clear that in this matter, both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress are equally guilty, as AAP made every effort to protect those responsible for the sacrilege incident in Malerkotla in 2016.

AAP MLA from Delhi, Naresh Yadav, who was found guilty of the heinous crime of sacrilege, was fully supported by AAP cabinet ministers Harpal Cheema and Harjot Bains in their efforts to shield him. Sacrilege incidents in Punjab began occurring only after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party.

A fair investigation into these cases can reveal the role of AAP leaders in these incidents and bring the truth to light, which could help put an end to such heinous crimes of sacrilege.
