SAS Nagar Cops bust international racket selling heroin hidden in half-sleeve jackets, 2 arrested

Mohali: In a major breakthrough, SAS Nagar police busted an international drug syndicate with the arrest of 2 drug smugglers. The syndicate busted by SAS Nagar police used to smuggle heroin by hiding it in the half sleeve jackets. The preliminary information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X handle.

The arrested drug smugglers have been identified as Sukhdeep Singh and Krishan. Along with the arrest, police also seized 1.5 kg of heroin during the investigation. Police also exposed about the Afghan handles based in Delhi who are connected with international drug cartels.

The post by DGP Gaurav Yadav further added that arrested accused Sukhdeep Singh was previously involved in a kidnapping case in 2020. He was out on bail since May 2024 but now he has been again arrested for having links with international drug syndicate.

Police exposed the Modus Operandi, claiming that heroin was smuggled by concealing it under half-sleeve jackets and then later smuggled into vehicles to avoid suspicion.

DGP Yadav further added that this operation disrupts global narcotic supply chains, dealing a significant blow to international drug cartels.
