Jalandhar: An FIR has been registered against Prophet Bajinder Singh who is renowned as a priest and self-styled healer, following a complaint from a woman in Kapurthala that he had mentally and physically abused her.
Singh is the pastor of a church in Punjab’s Jalandhar district. He was reported to be popular among people as a healer.
A woman has accused him of sexual harassment and threats since 2017. She claims that after joining his church’s Worship team in 2020, the pastor began to send her filthy messages and eventualy forcing her into private meetings.
He allegedly threatened to kill her and her family if she didnt married. this was continued even after her marriage in 2023. The woman said that she suffered from panic attacks beacuse of all this. The woman alleges that Pastor Bajinder Singh Continued to harass and threaten her even after she married. when she and her family attempted to file a police report against him, Bajinder Singh’s associates allegedly intervened, trying to convince them to settle the matter privately. The woman expressed fear for her safety and the safety for her family and has called for strict action against Bajinder Singh and his supporters.
The case is now under investigation, with the woman urging authorities to take immediate action against those responsible for threats and harassment.
The police have registered a case against Singh under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
