Chandigarh: In Punjab, the minimum temperature recorded on Saturday fell by another 0.3 degrees, with Faridkot being the coldest at 1°C. Amritsar, Patiala, and Bathinda also registered temperatures below normal. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for a cold wave on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Punjab rose by 0.4 degrees, remaining close to normal, with Bathinda recording the highest at 24.4°C.
On Saturday, the minimum temperatures were as follows: Amritsar at 3.4°C (1.5 degrees below normal), Ludhiana at 7.8°C, Patiala at 6.0°C (2.2 degrees below normal), Pathankot at 2.3°C, Bathinda at 3.4°C (2.0 degrees below normal), Barnala at 4.4°C, SBS Nagar at 4.4°C, Faridkot at 3.4°C, Fazilka at 3.3°C, and Firozpur at 3.2°C. The maximum temperatures recorded were Amritsar at 20.7°C, Ludhiana at 21.8°C, Patiala at 22.3°C, Pathankot at 22.3°C, Gurdaspur at 21.0°C, Barnala at 21.7°C, Firozpur at 22.0°C, and Moga at 21.5°C.
