SHO and Assistant SHO suspended for not taking action against drugs: SSP Bathinda

While the state government led by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann is waging a war on drugs, the SHO and Assistant SHO have been suspended for not taking action against drug dealers.

This information was shared by Amneet Kondal SSP Bathinda. Giving more information in this regard, the District Police Chief said that Dhobiana Basti of Bathinda has been declared a hotspot area. Complaints were being made by the general public regarding the open sale of drugs here, after which action was taken and Inspector Ravinder Singh, Chief Officer, Civil Lines Police Station, Bathinda, and SI Beant Singh, Assistant Chief Officer, Civil Lines Police Station, have been suspended.

The SSP Bathinda said that if any police officer is found doing this in the future, the strictest action will be taken against him.

SSP further strongly appealed to the general public that if there is a drug trafficker in their area who is involved in the illegal drug trade, then they can register their complaint at 91155-02252 and their name and address will be kept confidential. Action will be taken against
