Split in SAD over decision to expel Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Bibi Jagir Kaur defend latter

Chandigarh: There seems to be a split in the party over the decision of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Badal to expel Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon. Party patrons Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Bibi Jagir Kaur have raised their voice in favor of Aadesh Pratap Singh Kairon. Both the leaders have termed the decision to expel Kairon as wrong.

Aadesh Pratap Singh Kairon is not only a senior party leader but also belongs to the family of the third Chief Minister of Punjab province, Pratap Singh Kairon.

Not only this, Adesh Pratap Singh is the son-in-law of the Badal family and brother-in-law of party president Sukhbir Badal. The Kairon family is recognized not only in the Tarn Taran belt but in the entire state.

Akali Dal took this action after the complaint of Khadur Sahib constituency candidate Virsa Singh Valtoha. Allegations were made that Kairon pressurized the workers not to vote in favor of Akali Dal and Valtoha. Party President Sukhbir Badal took the decision and decided to expel Adesh Pratap Singh from the party.

Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Bibi Jagir Kaur against Party’s decision

Party patron Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has termed this decision of Sukhbir Badal as wrong. Sukhdev Dhindsa said that elections are round the corner. This decision has been taken at the wrong time. At the same time, the daughter-in-law of Maluka family is the BJP candidate.

At the same time, senior Akali leader Bibi Jagir Kaur has also termed this decision of Sukhbir Badal as wrong. Bibi Jagir Kaur said that Adesh Pratap Kairon may have differences with the party candidate Virsa Singh Valtoha, but he is in favor of the party.
