Phagwara: Information has been received about stone pelting by unknown persons near Phagwara on Vande Bharat Express train. Train number 22488 which runs between Amritsar to Delhi was pelted with stones near Phagwara. Reportedly, stones have been pelted on the C-3 coach of the train leaving the windowpanes damaged.
After the incident, panic was seen among the railway passengers traveling in the Vande Bharat train. Poonam Kalra and Dali Thukral, residents of Gurugram, who were traveling in the C-3 coach of the train, said that as soon as they sat in the Vande Bharat Express train from Phagwara to Delhi, a loud sound was heard near the seat next to them.
They said that for some time no one knew what had happened. But later when the whole matter was investigated thoroughly and it was found that unknown persons had pelted stones on the coach of the Vande Bharat Express train from outside.
On the other hand, after getting information about stone pelting on Vande Bharat train, the staff of the railways department and other officials reached the C3 coach of the train and are collecting information about the whole matter.
The important aspect is that no such incident of stone pelting on any train has been seen on Phagwara Goraya railway track for a long time. Officials ensured the timely and rightful investigation of the matter.
