Sukhbir Badal reaches Sri Akal Takht Secretariat, urges to call meeting of Sikh priests to take further action

Amritsar: SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal today reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s secretariat. Sukhbir Badal, who was declared tankhaiya by Akal Takht urged to take further action against him as per the religious norms.

In a letter submitted in the Akal Takht Secretariat, he said that Sikh Panth and Punjab are facing huge challenges and he is unable to take any step as he is refrained from taking part in any political activities as per the orders of Akal takht.

Badal in his letter said, “Honorable Singh Sahib, it has been more than two and a half months since Das (he) was declared as Tankhaiya by you. As a humble servant, keeping in mind the dignity of Takht Sahib, I have kept myself away from sectarian, political and social engagements. But today the Sikh Panth and Punjab are facing huge challenges but he is currently unable to help in such dire situations even if he wants to due to imposed order.”

Badal further added that Punjab and the work of Shiromani Akali Dal, are also being heavily affected. He appealed at Shri Akal Takht Sahib to call a meeting of Panj Singh Sahibans and take further action as per Sikh religious norms.

Sukhbir Badal assured that he is committed to obey every command given by the Akal Takht Sahib.
