Sunil Jakhar favors Capt. Amarinder Singh’s govt, seeks Punjab CM’s resignation for ‘paddy procurement failure’

Chandigarh: BJP Punjab Unit President Sunil Jakhar issued a statement in favor of the previous Congress government led by Captain Amarinder Singh. While targeting the Mann government for tardy paddy procurement, Jakhar said that during Captain Amarinder Singh’s government, crops were procured smoothly. He mentioned that even during difficult times like the Corona period, crops were smoothly procured from farmers.

Jakhar while targeting the Mann government which is under fire for the paddy procurement said that Aam Aadmi Party’s clumsy government has failed to procure paddy.

Jakhar in a post on X also made mention of the recent incident in Raike Mandi where farmers and police were engaged in a clash. Jakhar said, ” Farmers roaming in the markets are committing suicide and the government is even lathi-charging the farmers sitting in the markets to hide their failures. The recent incident of Raike Mandi bears witness to this. The silence of the opposition is even more painful.”

Jakhar further added that the Punjab Chief Minister should solve the problems of farmers or leave the chair if he has an iota of morals left.
