Ludhiana: A 16-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself today. The deceased has been identified as Chand Kumar. His father Suresh Kumar is a native of Bihar and works as a mason in Doraha. The incident took place in the city. The moon read after the eighth grade.
After having dinner on Saturday night, he went to his room. Till 12 in the night, he was playing games on mobile. The next morning at 6 am, his body was found hanging from the fan. According to Akash Dutt, SHO of Thana Doraha, primary investigation has revealed that there was a dispute between Chand’s parents. His mother lived separately.
The police believe that the teenager took this step due to family tension. What is worrying is that this is the second incident in the last two months in Doraha. Earlier on May 26, 13-year-old Anita also committed suicide. According to the family, Anita hanged herself while imitating a CID drama. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and investigation into the case is underway.
