Three Chain Snatcher Women of Punjab Arrested from Kangra, Himachal

Kangra: Police have arrested three women from Punjab on charges of chain snatching at Kangra bus stand. On Sunday afternoon, a woman named Neerja, resident of Dhagwar, was waiting for a bus to her home at Kangra bus stand. Three women standing behind her snatched her chain and tried to run away.

During this time, local people and Neerja immediately caught the women. People immediately informed the Kangra police station about the matter. Police reached the spot and arrested all three women. The women have been identified as Sito Rani, resident of Mansa, Punjab, Paramjit Kaur, resident of Maler Kotla and Shyam Kaur of Maler Kotla. Gold chain has also been recovered from their possession.

On the other hand, DSP Ankit Sharma said that for the last four days, due to festivals, a lot of crowd is being seen in Kangra city. When people are busy shopping from their homes, clever criminals look for an opportunity for activities like snatching and pickpocketing. Seeing the crowd, a gang of snatchers tried in Kangra but they were caught.
