Ludhiana:
Last three days are left for the residents to avail 10 percent rebate on payment of property tax and water-sewer bills for the current financial year (2024-25).
September 30 is the last to avail the rebate and around 60000 property owners in the city are yet to pay the property tax for the current financial year.
To facilitate the residents in submitting the tax, the civic body has decided to keep their suvidha kendras open on Saturday (Sep 28) and Sunday (Sep 29) too.
Additional counters have also been established at the zonal offices to facilitate the residents in submitting the water-sewer charges.
For avoiding long queues, residents can also submit the tax online by visiting mcludhiana.gov.in
MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal appealed to the residents to submit the pending tax in time to avoid penalties. The collected amount is used for providing basic amenities to the residents and for taking up development works in the city.
