Three youths from Punjab were stopped at the Delhi airport. All three youths had air tickets. Fake Schengen visas were also put in their passports. They were promised that they were being sent to Spain. The incident took place on May 29, but after the investigation, the person whose name came up in this entire scam has already been arrested by Punjab Police.

All three youths belong to the constituency of Punjab’s NRI minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal. They have been identified as Harjeet Singh (44), Bhagwant Singh (25), and Gurcharan Singh (28) from Ajnala, Amritsar. On May 29, they were stopped by the airline staff while trying to board a flight to Madrid.

In the investigation of the Delhi Police, the name of Kamaldeep came up, who played the role of an agent. The mastermind of this entire scam is Sonu Walia, who has already been arrested by the police. All three had paid lakhs of rupees. They thought that the person to whom they were giving money was a legitimate travel network. The main accused Sonu Walia, who had promised the three youths a waiter’s job in Madrid, was already lodged in a Punjab jail. Agent Kamaldeep Singh knew that Walia had been arrested, but he did not inform the passengers about it. Kamaldeep was afraid that if the three youths got information about Walia, they would demand money and refuse to go.

Actually, the three youths had reached IGI Airport Delhi on May 29. They had Indigo Airlines tickets. They reached the counter with the tickets. But when the Indigo Airlines staff checked the tickets, it was not found in the system.

After this, the investigation of the visas on the passports of the three youths was started. Swiss liaison officers found in the investigation that the Schengen visa was also fake. All three passengers were detained and a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and Passport Act.
