Bathinda: To escape the scorching heat, two youths who went to take a bath in the Sarhand Canal of Bathinda, Punjab, drowned in the water. As soon as the incident came to light, volunteers from Sahara Jan Seva Sanstha and police reached the spot.
The Sahara Jan Seva team has started searching for the youths who drowned in the canal. SSO Thermal Sukhwinder Singh, who reached the spot, said that two youths had come to take a bath in the Sirhand Canal of Bathinda. During this, they drowned in the water, and they were being searched. The NDRF team has been informed.
Police officials said that one youth has been identified as Rahul, a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, while the other youth has not been identified yet. Both the youths are being searched.
